Ladies XL Clothes

OK - I have a load of Mens Dress Shirts - size large - 161/2 34 sleeve - in the general area - also a couple sport jackets. All nice and good condition - My Dad .... among all his wonderful qualities, has a serious shopping problem - so about quarterly, he cleans stuff out. Typically, he'll show up with a hundred ties for Jon (You may think I exaggerate, but if you've seen the boxes, you'll know it's all true. LOL This time, it was easily 50-60 dress shirts. Jon pulled what he can, but I am now looking to re home them. If you know someone in this general size, come on over There are at least 20 shirts and a couple of jackets. Once is kind of a tux type coat and I honestly can't recall what the two look like - but I do think there is also a women's size 4 blazer as well - navy?

Fun with the Firefighters at Florence Library

Many of you may already get the email updates from the Florence Library ... but if not, here's one they sent yesterday for their activity on October 7th at 10am. The Florence Community Library is the place to be for story-time and fun. Family Story time at the Florence Community Library will host the Florence Fire Department on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:00am. I got a few calls from some of you on these students for Christmas. I now have the information on each of them. They are all coming from private schools back east and are very well behaved. Farmhouse Chicken

Just found this recipe.. Havn't tried it but it looks good and wanted to pass it along... They've made a few changes that will save fat and calories. They've browned the chicken in Light Zesty Italian Dressing instead of oil; used PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese instead of whipping cream; and didn't dip the chicken in eggs before coating in flour. All these changes will save you 50 calories and 19 g of fat per serving! They use brown rice vs. white and I'll prob use the Fat Free Cream Cheese... Bon Appetite


1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 small bone-in chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.), skin removed
1/4 cup KRAFT Light Zesty Italian Dressing
2 cups baby carrots
1 onion, cut into wedges
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth, divided
2 cups instant brown rice, uncooked
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese, cubed
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley


MIX flour and pepper in shallow dish. Add chicken; turn to coat both sides of each piece. Gently shake off excess flour. Heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken, meat-sides down; cook 5 to 6 min. or until golden brown. Turn chicken. Add carrots, onions and 1 cup broth; cover. Simmer on medium-low 20 min. or until chicken is done (165°F).

MEANWHILE, cook rice as directed on package; spoon onto platter. Use slotted spoon to remove chicken and vegetables from skillet; place over rice. Cover to keep warm.

ADD Neufchatel and remaining broth to skillet; cook on high heat until Neufchatel is melted and sauce is well blended, stirring constantly. Simmer on medium-low heat 3 to 5 min. or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon over chicken and vegetables; top with parsley.

Students for Christmas

I am currently in the process of finding 4-5 good families who would love to open their homes this Christmas season to a Vietnamese high school aged teenager for 2 weeks. We pay $200 a week/per kid and ask that you open your homes and heart to these kids not your wallet:)

I will have more individual info on each kid in the coming weeks. They are all students in America going to private high schools in various states. They are very well educated and very well behaved and just cannot make it back to Veitnam for Christmas and would love to have a "family" for Christmas.

There are still various items that were left behind I just havn't take them time to go through and inventory things- Jon finally went over and took pics for me a couple of weeks ago. Make an offer. I got a call a week ago that the house will soon be re keyed by the mortgage co so I'm not sure how much longer we will have access to the interior. Walmart and food storage

I ran into Walmart on Ocotillo real quick today and noticed in the food section, the aisle right before the juice aisle they have a lot of food storage items.

They have always had the water buckets and food storage buckets and lids but they have added plastic buckets of rice, beans, there is flour, sugar, oats, etc and a variety of large freeze dried cans of food. I was in a hurry and had the kids so I didn't get a chance to write down the items and prices.

And they also have the can rotating shelving, the small shelf ones and the large floor ones ~ I always look at these and say someday... :)

Carpet Cleaner

I've passed this information along to a few of you, but thought I'd post in the event anyone is looking for a good carpet cleaner. These folks live in Anthem and work the east valley. They cleaned our carpets a month ago and they still look great (in spite of us being here. LOL) Each room is $30. If you're a new client, they will do one room free. I was really happy with them and will use them again and recommend them if you're looking for a great carpet cleaner at a reasonable price. I appreciate that they don't count small hallways as a separate area - so essentially, I had the 1st floor and the common 2nd floor areas done for $30. They also left us with a bunch of booties to use as well as a bottle of spot cleaner for any future hiccups. And, they called a week later to make sure we were still happy with the job ... we were. :) You can give them our names if you like.

Don't forget to come to the meeting tomorrow. I want you to come and find out what AMI is and if it is something that you and your family would benefit from. queen bed comforter and bed skirt and a really cute dress

Hello. I've been waiting to post this until I got a good picture, but I'm going to stop waiting and add a picture if I ever get around to it!!

Nikki gave me a very nice Queen size comforter and skirt and 2 pillow shams. They didn't work out with my bed frame and huge pillow top mattress. Anyone else need them? They are cream and light blue. Come see them if you'd like.

4th of July Parade

There will be a Fourth of July Parade at Anthem Saturday starting at 9am. It will run along Merrill Ranch Pkwy and American Way towards the school. Afterwards there will be a program with the Boy Scouts, awards ceremony, a community choir and other solo musicians ... there will be bounce houses and food for purchase and other fun to be had.

There are 35 entries this year in various categories: classic cars, golf carts, kids, (including Ian ...nudge, nudge) and others. The newly elected Sherrif will be the Grand Marshall ... with the Mayor, Fire Chief and someone else judging the parade entries. They will also be tossing candy to the crowds.

So... if you're looking for a fun way to kick of your Fourth of July celebrations, head on over to Anthem.

As many of you are aware, there is a struggle going on in our schools and we are loosing. Principals and teachers prefer to not make parents angry than to stand up for rules and regulations that are there to protect our children not only from harm but from developing low moral values.I am starting a American Mothers Chapter in Florence. Free Stuff

There are a few things available that the Scilley's had to leave behind. If you're interested please let me know ASAP and I can meet you over there. leave me a msg if I don't answer - or fee free to text.

1.) A Wood Toddler Bed. a few blemishes, but over all it's in good shape. There isn't a mattress and one of the slats under the mattress had been broken but it's been fixed - overall, it's in good cond and too good to just throw out. it's a light to med. shade of wood.

2.) Two side rails for kids bed. They are white in color with some added "flair" from the kids and their crayons. :) they just need a good scrubbing and will be great.

3.) A small pet carrier/crate - it was used when their puppy was transported to them - good for a cat or a small puppy. it's seriously new - I think it was only used when the puppy was flown to them - and he hasn't really be in it since then.

4.) Wood coffee table. has a little drawer - it's in decent shape - maybe a few blemishes, but I think it was in decent shape - I didn't take a good look, but if I had the room I'd take it. LOL

There is like other stuff that will be avail - but this is what I saw off the top of my head. I'm going to be going over to help clear out the trash and clean the place for them - so as stuff becomes available that is of value, I'll pass along.

Simmons Baby Crib $40

Free Breakfast and Lunch for children under 18 at San Tan Elementary School

This program is made possible by a state grant and is open to ANYONE aged 18 and under.

From June 1st through July 23rd, Monday through Friday, the Coolidge Unified School District will be serving BOTH breakfast and lunch free of charge to everyone that shows up.

The meals will be served at San Tan Elementary in the cafeteria and there are no other requirements other than being hungry and a child.

ALL children will be served and there are no strings attached.

The address is 2500 W San Tan Heights Blvd. it is behind the WalMart on Hunt Hwy.

The hours are 7:15-8:15 for breakfast and 11:00-1:00 for lunch.

You can order cannery food storage online. Go to lds.org, click on "home and family", then click on "Family home storage." Go to the right of the page and click on "Home storage, center order form," look for and click on "Home storage order form-United States." These forms can be filled out, saved and printed from the website. Once it is saved it can be emailed as an attachment to the canning specialist at jimg@bulwarkpest.com or alicegietler@aol.com or simply fill it out, print 2 copies and turn one in to Alice or Jim Gietler on Sunday.

The stake has asked that your order be picked up by you, paid for at the cannery and you MUST have your copy of the order form with you. If you do not have your order form the cannery will not fill your order.

We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to build your food storage. Whether you use the cannery or have other means of storage, how blessed we will be by following the counsel of our leaders.

The following sounds like a fun recipe from Sister Barnett from the Stake Center:

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 mug
4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp sugar
1 egg
3 tbsp oil
splash of vanilla
2 tbsp baking cocoa
3 tbsp milk
3 tbsp chocolate chips

Add dry ingredients to mub and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla and mix again. Put your mug into the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 100 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little and tip onto a plate. Serves one or two if you're willing to share!

Dermatologist?

Does anybody know of a dermatologist who would work well with a three year old? My pediatrician says that my daughter needs to get a mole on her arm removed, but I can only imagine that it will be tricky with someone this age. Thanks!
