CANNERY ORDERS

Just a reminder: cannery orders are due May 29th. Pick up date is June 27th.

You can order cannery food storage online. Go to lds.org, click on "home and family", then click on "Family home storage." Go to the right of the page and click on "Home storage, center order form," look for and click on "Home storage order form-United States." These forms can be filled out, saved and printed from the website. Once it is saved it can be emailed as an attachment to the canning specialist at jimg@bulwarkpest.com or alicegietler@aol.com or simply fill it out, print 2 copies and turn one in to Alice or Jim Gietler on Sunday.

The stake has asked that your order be picked up by you, paid for at the cannery and you MUST have your copy of the order form with you. If you do not have your order form the cannery will not fill your order.

We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to build your food storage. Whether you use the cannery or have other means of storage, how blessed we will be by following the counsel of our leaders.

The following sounds like a fun recipe from Sister Barnett from the Stake Center:

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 mug
4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp sugar
1 egg
3 tbsp oil
splash of vanilla
2 tbsp baking cocoa
3 tbsp milk
3 tbsp chocolate chips

Add dry ingredients to mub and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla and mix again. Put your mug into the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 100 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little and tip onto a plate. Serves one or two if you're willing to share!
