Fundraising event at Barro's Pizza

Our local Barro's Pizza in Cooper Basin is helping our team the Fit Girl's and Friends earn donations for the upcoming Relay for Life event for the American Cancer Society. You can help by ordering pizza from Barro's on Tuesday evening, April 20th (this upcoming Tuesday). When you order mention Relay for Life and 20% of the sale will be donated.

Fundraising Rummage Sale - THIS WEEKEND 4.17.10

Some of you may already know about the upcoming Relay for Life being held at Florence HS on 4/30. Our Team, Fit Girls & Friends is actively working to raise money for the event ... this weekend, we will have a Rummage Sale at Laura Carpenter's home in Anthem. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life.

We are still looking for donations of items to include in our sale, so if you've got anything taking up space in your house, garage, attic, yard ... we'd be happy to take it off your hands and sell at the sale on Saturday. All donations can be taken to Laura Carpenter's home this week.

In addition to the Rummage Sale, we'll also have a table where you can purchase and decorate a Luminaria Bag for a donation to honor or memorialize someone who has battled cancer. (bags will be displayed at the event and light the track through the night.)There will also be yummy Baked Goods available, made by some of your favorite bakers! And of course, if you just want to come drop a small monetay donation to support your friends, we'd LOVE to see you there!

The sale is being held the day of the bi-annual Anthem community sale, so there should be lots of fun things to see ... at various houses in the neighborhood, including the elementary school where they will have several booths.

The Relay event will kick-off with a Survivor Lap ... with other events for the whole family to enjoy. There will be booths from local vendors, including good grub. :) You'll also get to see the campsites for the variuos teams, their themes, and of course, see your Fit Girls & Friends! We love and appreciate your support!!
